Born in Los Angeles, CA Bob Norwood earned a B.A. degree in Art Representation at Cal State Los Angeles, and a post-graduate degree in Theatre Arts. In addition to years of painting, his profession includes five years of teaching in a private school in the San Francisco Bay Area.
His current endeavors include watercolor illustrations inspired by the music of the Beatles. What began as a personal interpretation of song lyrics has translated into imagery of universal resonance. Some of these works utilize a masa paper technique.
Artists who have inspired him include Michelangelo, Kandinsky, and Alan Aldridge.
Bob Norwood currently lives and works at his studio in Santa Maria, California.
